West Branch Construction Class Completes Shed for Career Connections Apprenticeship Program
The West Branch Construction Class has successfully completed a 10x12 storage shed as part of the Career Connections Apprenticeship Program. This hands-on project allowed students to apply their skills in areas such as wall construction, roofing, foundation layout, trim carpentry, soffit and fascia installation, rafter layout, sheathing, and joist layout.
Upon finishing the 3rd-year course, students will earn Career Connections Certification, 12 alternative graduation credits, and state certification as apprentice carpenters, which will help them pursue careers in the construction industry.
At the end of the year, the completed shed will be raffled off, with proceeds going to support future students in the program.
