Woodshop Builds Catapult's as Part of Hand-On Project

Students in Mr. Sharp’s woodshop class recently built wooden catapults as part of a hands-on project, putting their designs to the test by launching bean bags to see how far they could travel.

The catapult built and designed by Jude Corallo, Adam Corallo, and John Biggs reached a distance of approximately 80 feet. The team noted that with further modifications, they believe their catapult could surpass 100 feet.

Another catapult, designed by Ellie Tucker, Aiden Handy, and Dhruv Dhruvrajsinh, did not travel as far during testing. However, the group plans to make adjustments to improve their design and performance in future trials.
