West Branch FFA Attends Ohio FFA State Convention
The West Branch FFA Chapter attended the Ohio FFA State Convention on May 2nd and May 3rd. Students attended general sessions and walked the career expo exposing them to colleges and job opportunities across the state of Ohio. Students went on a tour of Freshwater Farms in Urbana, Ohio. Here, students learned about the largest indoor fish hatchery in Ohio. Students also attended a tour at STGenetics and the Ohio Heifer Center. Students learned about their 5,000 head dairy operation that earns them the title of the 2nd largest confined livestock facility in the country. Students spent Friday afternoon at TopGolf before heading to the last general session.
Five West Branch FFA members walked across the stage in front of a record breaking 10,500 members and guests to receive their State Degree. Students receiving this honor include: Skylar Cunningham, Alex Campbell, Brody Martig, Savannah Ruthrauff, and McKenzie Whitted.
