Warrior Jazz Ensemble Participates in High School Jazz Band Day at Ohio State

Saturday, March 23rd, the Warrior Jazz Ensemble traveled to The Ohio State University to participate in High School Jazz Band Day!

Alongside 12 other jazz groups from all across Ohio, our jazz band performed a set for audiences and OSU faculty, then received a clinic from Dr. Brooks, the jazz saxophone professor.

After this, Olivia Sexton (OSU Class of ‘23 and WB Class of ‘19) gave the group a wonderful tour of campus. Even though it was chilly, our students enjoyed getting to see many campus spots and hearing someone practice quads at the stadium! Thank you Olivia for taking time out of your weekend to meet with us!

Lastly, our band watched an incredible performance by the OSU Jazz Ensemble and received awards, during which Isaac Holbrook and Luke Dyke were honored with outstanding soloist awards for our band.
