High School Science Department Holds March Mammal Madness Competition

Throughout the month of march the High School Science Department sponsored a March Mammal Madness competition. Similar to NCAA March Madness, a bracket is released by Arizona State University featuring animals from around the world. Each round there are simulated fights between the combatants until one winner is crowned. 199 students and staff submitted brackets. The West Branch winner was Isabel Martig with Cailyn Fritz coming in second and Owen Bloss took third. There were prizes given for each division winner as well as some special awards. All those winners are below along with pictures of our winners. 

Division winners:

8th/9th- Kayla Chismar

10th- Owen Bloss and Cailyn Fritz

11th- Caleb Woolf and Brett Weisel

12th- Isabel Martig

Staff- Mrs. Robb

1st: Mrs. English

2nd: Mrs. Williams

3rd: Collin Jones and Chase Stillion

 

Most Unique Champion:

Joel Sanor: Cyanobacteria

Garrett Felgar: Hedgehog
