Learning MULTIPLICATION Facts with RHYMES
We will be working very hard to come up with some good strategies to help us memorize multiplication facts sometimes we learn when we have a fun rhyme.
Here are our SQUARE facts:
2x2=4
Two sets of twins on the floor, 2 times 2 equals 4
3x3=9
I’m free, I’m free and I feel fine, 3 times 3 equals 9
4x4=16
Floors, Floors they need cleaned, 4 times 4 is 16
5x5=25
Five bees in five hives, 5 x 5 is 25
6x6=36
Six dogs with dirty sticks, 6 x 6 is 36
7x7=49
Seven in Heaven feeling fine, 7 x 7 is 49
8x8=64
I ate and ate and got “sick” on the “floor”, 8x8 is 64
9x9=81
Nine Nines having fun, 9x9 is 81
10x10=100
Ten storms with ten clouds thundered, 10x10 is 100
Here are a few other tricky facts that you may learn with a fun rhyme.
6x7=42
6 and 7 stuck like glue, six times 7 is 42
6x8=48
Who do we appreciate? 6 times 8 is 48.
7x8=56
5,6,7,8…56 is 7 x 8
