Superintendent's Message

Welcome to the West Branch Local School District website. Our schools, located in Beloit, serve students from 111 square miles with parts in three counties.

West Branch is a rural district that values education and is rich in tradition, and despite the unique challenges brought on through the 2020-2021 school year, our staff has been dedicated to continuing to provide the highest quality education to the more than 2,000 students enrolled in our schools.

From preschool through 12th grade, our educators invest themselves in each student’s success. Our well-rounded curriculum and robust extra-curricular opportunities provide opportunities to develop the whole child. Curriculum collaboration extends beyond our school walls, with local businesses and organizations providing generous support for our blossoming STEM programs throughout the district.

Our staff has gone above and beyond this year, ensuring safe and effective lessons, whether teaching students in-person or through the Warrior Academy. Their commitment to providing a variety of experiences that prepare students for success fuels the vast variety of programs in place in our district.

Extracurricular activities, whether it be sports, debate team, visual and performing arts, as well as environmental clubs provide Warrior students the opportunity to strengthen their communications skills, teamwork, knowledge and grow their confidence. High school students have a number of opportunities to explore career opportunities, earn industry-recognized credentials, or get a jump start in their higher education through college credit plus.

As a West Branch graduate, I am honored to be entrusted with this position. I am humbled each and every day at the dedication and persistence of our staff. I am awed at the resilience and progress I see in our students. And I am thankful to be a part of building the future through our students and continued traditions of excellence in West Branch schools.
