Hagan Scholarship Foundation

Deadline:  April 20, 2023 (Sent directly)

Award:  Up to $7500 per semester for 8 semesters!

Criteria:  3.5 GPA, must work 240 hours prior to commencement of the fall semester in college, applicant's gross household income reported for 2021 Federal Income Tax Purposes must not have exceeded $85,000.

Mile Branch Grange Scholarship

Deadline:  April 20, 2023 (mailed directly - address on application)

Award:  N/A

Criteria:  must be a grange member or have grange involvement, 2.5 GPA, must attend university, community college, vocational or trade school, establish need.

Award:  3 - $1,000

Criteria:  attend a university, college, technical school, or certificate program, resident of Columbiana County or adjacent county, must be pursuing careers specific to natural resources conservation as indicated above.

Clinton Heacock Scholarship

Award:  2 - $1,000 (renewable for next 3 years!)

American Legion George D. Worth Post 574 & Auxilliary Scholarship

Award:  2 - $500 for Post 574 and 2 - $500 for Aux

Criteria:  financial need will be taken into consideration, applicant is preferred to have parent, grandparent, or siblings who have served in any branch of the military.  Additional considerations:  scholarship, leadership, extracurriculars, community service

** The auxiliary scholarships can only be for female students, but it's the same application

Award:  $500 to a male and $500 to a female

Criteria:  display characteristics that reflect a strong personal work ethic, integrity, scholarship, character, discipline, responsibility and a strong sense of fair play, must complete an essay on the theme of Family, Friends and Team.

Award:  $3,000-$4,000 (can be divided based upon strong applicants)

Criteria:  enrolled in a vocational or technical school following graduation, 2.0 GPA, must explain why you deserve this award and how it will help you achieve your future goals, display a strong work ethic, integrity, and character.

West Branch Local Ruritan Scholarships

Award:  Varies

Criteria:  pursuing further education (doesn't matter if trade school, technical school, 2-year or 4-year institution), the Ruritan scholarship you qualify for will be based on where you reside.  There are also vo-ag & social work with special needs scholarships available.  See application for details.
