Welcome to the 2012 - 2013 School Year
Welcome students and parents! Thank you for visiting my classroom website. I have designed this site to use as an alternate means of communication and hope that you will feel more informed about what is going on in the life of your child by having this site to refer to at your convenience. We all have such busy lives and this site can often times help answer any questions that you might have.
I understand that moving from one grade to the next can be an exciting adventure, but I know that it can also be quite stressful for both the student and parent(s). Please note that it can also be an exciting and stressful time for teachers. (Especially this year!) We will be faced with many challenges this year as our 5th graders move from being a part of elementary school to becoming a part of the middle school. Let's work together to make this transition as smooth as possible. As I make the move to the middle school, I will be a part of a 4-person team where I will be teaching science. The other members of the team include my very good friend Mrs. Crider (math), Mrs. Criss (language arts), and Mr. Brain (social studies). Miss Valerio and Miss Sefl will also be working with us as our Intervention Specialists. They are amazing!
5th grade is a time for students to begin to assume responsibility for their education and become life-long learners. Therefore, this will be a year where students will become more independent.
As you explore this site, please feel free to let me know what you think. I value your thoughts and opinions and want to make this resource as useful as possible.
Have a Great Year!
Mrs. Tina Mull
