I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education and a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from Kent State University. I had been a professional Librarian from my graduation in 1996 until the 2018/19 school year.
This year I am excited to be working with students as their Intervention Specialist for English Language Arts in 5th grade.
I LOVE to read! My favorite books to read usually are considered young adult literature and I especially enjoy fairytales, folklore, and fantasy ("If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales." ~Albert Einstein). I keep track of the books I read each year, if you are curious, find me on Goodreads. I try to read a variety of materials to have something to recommend for all types of student interests. I am always looking for the next good book and open to suggestions.
I hope you will be a happy reader and an excited learner in 5th grade.
