Hello West Branch students and parents! Welcome back to the 2018-2019 school year. I look forward to working with you again this year. Originally from this area, I grew up in Columbiana County and graduated from United High School. I was raised on a farm producing bison meat and fresh produce which we sold at farmer's markets. After selling at these farmer's markets for several years, I realized how uneducated a large part of society is about agriculture and I developed a passion for teaching others about this broad field. After high school, I attended West Virginia University where I earned a Bachelor's of Science with a Major in Agriculture and Extension Education. I was involved in the collegiate FFA and many other clubs while I was there, gaining lots of experience in a variety of areas. I also served as a teaching assistant for a communications class as well as a welding class. I am excited to begin my second year of teaching here at West Branch and I hope to add to the excellent FFA program that already exists in this area. Students in our district have great opportunities available to them in the field of agriculture, and it is my goal to give them as much knowledge and skills in their four years here that they will be able to pursue careers and continued education in the great field of agriculture.
