My main mission is to work with teachers to improve math instruction for every student to learn and grow in mathematics. Students are learning with games and activities that engage them in mathematical thinking and problem solving while at the same time, building their self-confidence and appreciation for mathematics.
Parents play a very powerful role in their child's education. Children whose parents show an interest in and enthusiasm for mathematics around the home will be more likely to develop that enthusiasm themselves as stated in an article on math.com from US department of education. I have included a tab for parents to use in creating a math rich world for their children.
At West Branch, our math curriculum is Everyday Mathematics 4th edition by McGraw-Hill for grades K - 6. Grades 7-8 transition with Eureka still focusing on problem solving and critical thinking skills to prepare students for life long math learners.
