Welcome to the 2013-2014 school year; I am looking forward to celebrating the successes of students as they grow and mature!
I grew up on a farm in the West Branch community, went to Knox Elementary and graduated from West Branch High School. My education degree came from Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, Tennessee, which is where I met my husband, who is now retired.
We lived in Illinois, Kansas, and Arkansas for a period of 30 years, then moved back to Ohio. Our 4 children consider themselves Arkansans. Three of them are in Arkansas and our daughter lives in New York. We have 14 grandchildren at the present time.
I have taught school in Tennessee, Kansas, Arkansas, and Ohio. Most of my experience is Kindergarten through fifth grade, but I have taught other levels as well. My certificate is 1-8, with a reading endorsement for K-12.
As a classroom teacher, I was always looking for ways to get the extra help for students; now I am the extra help. I am very happy to work with excellent teachers and great students here in West Branch.
My job is to provide intensive reading intervention with individuals or small groups of students. I welcome your input and questions concerning your child. Happy reading!
