Discipline Plan

Mrs. Scullion’s Classroom Classroom Expectations

  1. Be respectful.

  2. Be responsible.

  3. Be ready to learn.

  4. Do your best.

  5. Follow directions the first time.

  6. Treat others the way you want to be treated.

Positive Reinforcement:

We teach the children that the best kind of reward is feeling good inside.  Children who follow classroom expectations will receive praise from teacher and classmates, good notes to parents, and special 'BRAG TAGS'. These tags will be collected by students throughout the school year. They can be eared for various reasons, from keeping their desks clean to best selling author. This is something students will love to earn and grow their collection!

Behavior Plan:

In the classroom students have a 'card' and every week we will start on blue. This is the best color to be. This coordinates with their planners. Students will be given one warning (name on board) and they will be instructed to flip their card. Green, students miss 10 minutes of recess one time, yellow, students will miss all of one recess, and red, they will be sent to the office along with a phone call home. If a student reaches red multiple times we will have a meeting with Mrs. Reash and the school counselor to discuss further action. Students will start over each week on blue. For students who remain on Blue all week they will earn a Warrior head to be entered into the weekly drawing and also have a chance to pick from the prize jar!

Thank you,
