I'm so excited to be your child's second grade teacher! I have taught 2nd grade for 8 years, and 1st grade for 5 years. I received my BA in Early Childhood Education from the University of Mount Union in 2004, and I received my Master's in Reading Specialization from Kent State University in 2007.
One of my hopes as an educator is to instill a love of learning in my students as I share my own passion for learning with them. I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow emotionally, intellectually, and socially.
Outside of school I love spending time with my husband John, my son Ryan, and my daughters Maura and Aubrey. In my free time I enjoy watching movies, biking, running, reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. I'm looking forward to working with you this school year to help your child learn and grow!
"One Hundred Years from now it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much money was in my bank account, nor what my clothes looked like. But the world may be a better place because I was important in the life of a child."
