Classroom Expectations

Class Expectations

 

Prepared for class, by having read material assigned, homework done, work/study sheets complete.  Homework will be turned in the first minute of class in to class bin.

Respect others thoughts and opinions during class discussions.

Be prepared to participate in class discussions.  Raise hand to speak during class discussions.

Cheating of any kind will not be tolerated. (copying homework, test/quiz, plagiarism, etc)

When working in groups discussions should be limited to task assigned.

No cell phones or electronic devices. (mp3, ipod, etc)

No gum, candy, food or drinks in class with the exception of water. (no vitamin water or flavored water)


  Consequences

 

Missing or late homework/assignments:

For Each day late points will be taken away until it is not worth any points (amount deducted will depend on the value of assignment).

 
Disrespect of classmates or teacher and excessive noise/disruptions:

Consequences will vary depending on severity and number of incidents.  They may include: warning, moving seat, detention or office referral.


Cheating:

As per the student code of conduct, first offense is an F for the assignment and the second offense is an F for the nine weeks.  Additional offenses will be dealt with by the office.


 
Cell phones:

First offense – phone taken to office; second offense – phone taken and detention with teacher; third offense – phone taken, detention with office and call home.

 
Food/drinks:

First offense – throw away; second offense – detention with teacher; third offense – detention with office
