Rules will be developed together the first week of school.
Good behaviors and following directions can help your child earn Classroom Cash! Classroom Cash is kept in a baggie that hangs on your child's cubby. Beginning in September, the Classroom Store is open for business and students can buy new and gently used items with their cash. They can also choose to save any or all of their cash to make bigger purchases in future months. These activities support our Economic Social Studies Standards.
Periodically, tables can earn points for demonstrating being Respectful, Responsible, and Ready. The first table to earn 5 points gets to pick candy, Classroom Cash, or a sticker.
Pete the Cat Points
The class will work together to earn Pete the Cat Points throughout each day for good behavior and following instruction. Points are tracked on a 10-Frame. Filling a 10-Frame earns the class 10 minutes of choice time. Filling ten 10-Frames earns the class a special reward day!
Behaviors will be logged in each student's planner. Please note that the planner does not mimic a stop light. You should expect to see a yellow happy face marked most days. :)
