Leadership Opportunities
  • Youth Leadership of Mahoning Valley

    This program is for juniors who have demonstrated leadership potential.  The goal is to prepare these young people to someday provide the insight and foresight needed to lead this community into the 21st century.

  • Alliance Community Hospital's Summer Teen Program

    Application deadline:  May 8, 2018 

    The Volunteer Office will begin accepting applications on March 19, 2018.  This is an opportunity for high school students ages 16 to graduation to volunteer over teh summer months during their school break.  This is not an internship or shadowing program, but it does afford students the unique opportunity to gain non-clinical experience in a hospital setting while gaining personal satisfaction of helping others.

  • Sebring Ohio Historical Society JR Membership Program

    Who:  Area students, ages 13-18
    Requirements:  Complete 2 hours of service per month, plus 3 events per year
    Details:  Service hours may entail photography, writing articles for the newspaper, our Facebook page, or newsletter, cleaning the Museum, and also light maintenance tasks.  Working an event may entail selling tickets, greeting and seating guests, serving refreshments, and clean up after.
    Perks:  Hours worked at the Historical Society can be used as service hours or volunteer experience for other organizations and can be used on scholarship applications.  Being a JR member also grants the volunteer a free membership to the society.  A yearly thank-you event will also be held to honor JR Members.
    When:  General Historical Society work meetings are the 3rd Monday of every month.  Special events and meeting times will be announced as events are planned.
