I am so excited to be your science teacher this year. I have a lot that I want to share with you throughout the year and I would like to start by letting you learn a little bit about me. I am entering my twenty-first year of teaching in the West Branch School District. I am a true Warrior at heart as I graduated from WBHS in 1987. After high school graduation, I set my sights on college and enrolled at Youngstown State University. I would spend the next ten years at YSU studying teaching and dabbling in some meteorology courses. In 1997, I proudly graduated with my bachelor's degree in education. I have been married to Frank Edie for twenty-nine years and we are the proud parents of 3 beautiful children: Matthew, Kaitlyn and Andrew Edie. Andrew is a Youngstown State University graduate where he earned a nursing degree. He is currently an ER nurse at the Cleveland Clinic. Kaitlyn is a 6th year senior at Youngstown State University where she is majoring in early childhood education. Matthew attended The Ohio State University where he is studied aviation engineering. He is currently a member of the United States Navy where he is an airman. People have asked me if I weren't a teacher, what job would I see myself doing. I can honestly say that I love my job and truly couldn't see myself doing anything but teaching. Even though, as many of my former students would tell you, I would love to chase tornadoes at some point in my life! I am looking forward to learning a lot about you this year! I'm sure it is going to be a great year full of learning and fun!
