Down Syndrome Awareness

Lots of Socks Campaign
Accept, Include and Respect People of All Abilities

March 19, 2020

We will be holding a district wide event on March 19th in which we will be participating with The Down Syndrome Association of the Valley's "Lots of Socks" campaign to Accept, Include and Respect people of ALL abilities.  Why Socks?? Well because chromosomes look like socks and people with Down's Syndrome have an extra chromosome.

We are encouraging all staff members and students to wear crazy socks this day to support our Lucky Few students who have Down's Syndrome.  Additionally we will be selling t-shirts ($15 S - XL, $17 XXL, $18 XXXL)  to show our support on the 19th.  For those of you who don't know, the names listed on the t-shirts are West Branch students with Down's Syndrome (see the picture below) .  If you want to order a t-shirt, order forms will be in the offices.  Orders and money need to be submitted by March 6th.
