Calming strategies are ways to calm ourselves down and ways to make ourselves feel better.  We also call these coping skills or calm down strategies.  We will feel better overall if we continue to practice our calming strategies all of the time.  These are strategies that we can use now and in our future as well.  They are simple, fun and creative ways to calm down and make ourselves feel better!

During Mindful Monday, we are really focusing on keeping our mind and body calm by using these cool, fun, creative and easy calming strategies!

Today's calming strategy: is gratitude or being thankful.  

We may not have everything we need or want during this time, but we have to try to be thankful for what we do have during this difficult time.

For today: Draw a picture of one small thing that you are grateful for today!  You can also write about it or draw a picture AND write about it!

Of course you can write or draw about more than one small thing you are grateful for today!

We are using so many calming strategies today! Talk to a family member about the calming strategies that we are using today!

During Wellness Wednesday, it is important to remember that we need to keep our minds and bodies healthy!  We can use calming strategies to help keep our minds and bodies healthy!  It is so important that we live healthy!
