On March 1, students in 3rd and 4th Grade at Damascus Elementary jumped all over heart disease and stroke by participating in Jump Rope For Heart. The students raised $1,948 dollars for the American Heart Association, which funds research, programs and education to fight heart disease and stroke, our nation’s No. 1 and No. 4 killers. Students worked on jumping rope and learning about the benefits of exercise for lifelong fitness. Special “Thanks” to all who donated to a great cause.
Jump Rope for Heart is a program that promotes physical activity and heart health through jumping rope. It is co-sponsored by the American Heart Association and the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.
