Department of Education Releases School Report Cards

The Ohio Department of Education has changed the State Standard for achieving proficiency on the various state achievement tests from 75% to 80%.

It is important to note that the West Branch Local School District has shown a forward trend in 13 of 24 tested areas.

The 2016 - 2017 report card shows that the West Branch Local School District has earned the following component grades in these six areas:

  1. Achievement - C                    Previous Year(15-16) - C

  2. Progress - A                             Previous Year(15-16) - A

  3. Gap Closing - C                       Previous Year(15-16) - F

  4. Graduation Rate - A             Previous Year(15-16) - A

  5. K-3 Literacy - B                       Previous Year(15-16) - D

  6. Prepared for Success - D    Previous Year(15-16) - C


As we work through the Ohio Improvement Process, we can be proud of our efforts and say that our goals and strategies in literacy & english language arts, mathematics, technology, and overall community awareness/communication will continue with fidelity.
