Track and Field Record Broken

Lea Bock (sr) broke the school record in the discus on Thursday, April 30, 2015 with a throw of 129'8".  Lea is the daughter of Fred and, West Branch high school teacher, Gayla Bock.  The previous record of 126'1" was held for 30 years by Anita (Kelly) Sposetta (shown in the picture with Lea), mother of former thrower, Kim Sposetta (2013), and current thrower, Kristen Sposetta (jr).  Lea is a four-year letter winner in track and a senior captain this year.  As a result of supporting her daughter and the team, Anita was present for Lea's record breaking toss.  With tears in her eyes, she shook Lea's hand and proudly proclaimed, "30 years was long enough."  Congratulations to Lea Bock, and good luck to her on her quest to do more great things this season!
