Students in Mrs. Lesnett’s Freshman Honors English classes recently completed their second semester charity project. This project included: selecting a charity, forming an action plan for fundraising, creating a public service announcement, completing an anonymous application and essay, and making a presentation to the class. The top four candidates were selected based on their performance in the categories mentioned above. They were interviewed by a three-member panel that, in turn, ranked them. These candidates and charities are Molly St. John (Sophia Women’s Center) first place, Annie Menegay (Lifebanc) second place, Addison Biggs (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) third place, and Amanda Minich (Youth With A Mission) fourth place. Mrs. Lesnett made contributions to these charities based on their ranking. The total amount raised to date is $4,173.00.
